Lucille Reavis

Lucille (Aversman) Reavis, 88, of Liberty, Mo passed away September 19, 2012. Funeral services are 10:00 am Monday September 24th at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home, with visitation preceding services 9:00 - 10:00 am. Burial in Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Mark's Lutheran Church or Liberty Hospital Hospice which gave her such compassionate care during her battle with bladder cancer.Lucille was born February 22, 1924 on a farm near Waverly, Mo. She graduated from Waverly High School in 1941 and married William Reavis on April 12, 1945 in Corpus Christi, Tx, where he was stationed in the Navy.  Lucille worked for 20 years sorting mail at the main post office in Kansas City. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, Louis and Ida Aversman, sister, Viola and brothers, Everett and Junior. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon, sons, William, Thomas (Sherry), Bruce (Amy), 4 grandchildren, 3 lively great grandchildren and a brother, Leland Aversman. Lucille had a gentle smile and kind word for all. We will miss you, Mom.
