Lois Martha Kimberlin, 92, passed away March 25, 2010. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Monday, March 29, with funeral services to follow at 2 p.m. Community Christian Church; 4601 Main St; Kansas City, MO. Interment will be at Mt. Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery.Lois was born in DeWitt, MO and graduated from DeWitt High School. She worked for Luzier's Cosmetics, was a civilian employee of the United States Air Force, worked for Russell Stover's Candies, but spent the bulk of her career with Comet Industries. Lois was a member of Community Christian Church for 57 years, where she served in many capacities and was honored as Elder Emeritus in 2006. She was a 35-year member of the Northland Pilot Club and served as its president. For 25 years, Lois was a member of the American Business Women's Association and was honored as its "Woman of the Year" in 1970. She was a member of the Kansas City Women's Chamber of Commerce for 25 years. Lois was also a member of the Salvation Army Auxiliary, Daughters of the Nile and the Business Women's Circle and Laurel Circle at Community Christian Church. Lois enjoyed life with Wayne, her husband of 31 years. They traveled widely and actively participated in activities at the Ararat Shrine Temple.Lois was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Kimberlin; parents John and Florence Smith; and brother Lewis Smith.Lois leaves a loving family and many friends.
