Lois Bringus

Lois LaVaun Bringus, 95, passed away on January 12, 2021.

Lois was born on January 31, 1925 in Spencer, Iowa to Russell and Katie Rose. In 1941, she married her best friend and childhood sweetheart, George Bringus, and from this marriage they had five children. Early on she and George raised their family in St. Joseph, MO, but after they relocated to the Kansas City area she began her long career as a production worker for Whitaker Cable until she retired after 20 years. Lois was the life of the party, who loved ballroom and square dancing and playing any kind of board game. She even enjoyed assisting with coordinating the entertainment events for her senior living facility. After her husband’s passing in 1987, Lois spent many years living in Florida. She enjoyed travelling, especially with her family across the United States.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four siblings.

Her natural grace and boundless love will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her children, Jack, Susan, Debbie, Gary, and Cindy; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home on Thursday, January 14th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, with the Praying of the Rosary at 6:45pm. The funeral service will take place at St. Andrews Apostle Parish on Friday, January 15th at 10:00am, followed by burial at Terrace Park.

Due to the recent Covid restrictions we have a limited capacity of 50 people allowed in our chapel at one time and masks will be required at both services.
