Lois Ann Bixler, 91, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, died Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Payton Place, where she had been living for the past year. She was born February 14, 1926 in Waterville, Ohio to the late Daniel and Clara (Mallendick) Bucher.
She was first and foremost a devoted wife and mother; she married Harold G. “Bix” Bixler on July 19, 1948. She was an artist and the originator of “Paint & Wine” parties that she would have with friends at the lake. She loved nature and would create grapevine wreaths that were given as a gift to new residents at the lake. She was a member of Unity at the Lake Church.
She is survived by her children Jeffrey (Marla) Bixler and Brian (Debbie) Bixler; grandchildren Lucas, Melaina and Ellis, her sister Ann Bucher and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband Lois is preceded in death by 9 siblings.
A gathering of friends and family will be Wednesday, February 7, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Lakeside Chapel in Terrace Park Cemetery , 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Burial will be in Toledo Memorial Park in Toledo, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Share online condolences at TerraceParkFuneral.com.
