Lois Gladine Alley, 97, passed away, Monday, April 3, 2017, at Cox South Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri. Lois Earl was born on June 24, 1919 at home on a farm near Mooresville, MO. She grew up living in the country where she attended a one room grade school. She had an older brother and a younger sister. Lois attended and graduated from high school in Ludlow, MO where she met her husband Dale Alley. Lois and Dale were married on August 4, 1938. They have been married 78 years and had a son, who lives in the Springfield area, and a daughter who died in 2011 at the age of 71. They had six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Lois and Dale lived on a farm for a short time after they were married. They have lived in Washington DC, Greensboro, NC and Albuquerque, NM. The major portion of their time was spent in their homes in Kansas City, MO. Both Dale and Lois were living in Greene County, MO. Lois was a homemaker and an excellent cook. Lois and Dale enjoyed traveling with their friends in the Airstream trailer club. After Dale retired from the FAA, they spent many winters in either, Florida, Texas or Arizona. They have traveled to all 50 states, Canada and Mexico. They enjoyed their time traveling and seeing much of North America. In Lieu of flowers remember Lois Alley to the charity of your choice.
