Lloyd Estill, 90, of Kansas City, MO passed away May 24, 2016. He was born August 1, 1925 in Fayette, MO to Grace Mae Tuggle and Harry Burges Estill.
Lloyd was a Union Electrician by trade before retirement. He and his wife spent many summers working as gatekeepers at Greers Ferry Lake in Arkansas, before coming back to Kansas City. Lloyd enjoyed woodworking giving many things away to his family, friends, and children at church.
Lloyd was the loving husband of the late Margie Estill. Dear father of Carolyn Lindquist and father in law of Jimmy Lindquist and the late Daniel Estill and Sandra DeEstelle. Grandfather of Heather (Tom) Sweere. Great-Grandsons Fox, Teddy, Hunter, and a Great-granddaughter on the way. Dear brother of late Harry “Pete” (Norma surviving) Estill, Carl (the late Betty) Estill, Ralph (Sharon) Estill, Russell (Sharon) Estill, George “Wayne” (Cathie) Estill, and Loretta (the late Bill) Bittle. Special friend he called “his angel” Marjorie Severin.
Memorial service will be at Wexford Place 6500 N. Cosby Ave, Kansas City, MO 64151 on Friday June 24th 2016 at 7pm with military honors. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Jefferson City, MO at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice or Wexford Place. A graveside Committal Service will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hartsburg, Missouri on Saturday, October 29,2016 at 10 AM.
