Linda J. Wurtz, 76, of Kansas City, MO passed away on June 23, 2020. Services will be held at Northland Cathedral (101 NW 99th Street
Kansas City, MO 64155) on Friday, June 26th, with visitation from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, immediately followed by the funeral service.
Linda was born on August 22, 1943 in Kansas City, MO to Edgar and Rose Anna Keith. After graduating from East High School, Linda furthered her education attending Park College and receiving her bachelor’s degree, specializing in Pediatric Nursing, from Regents University of New York. She took great pride in providing home healthcare to terminally ill children and their families. She married the love of her life, William Franklin Wurtz on August 18, 1962 and from this marriage they had two children. Linda loved all kinds of music, especially Elvis Presley, growing flowers, bird watching, eating crab legs, and travelling. Her favorite getaways included spending time with family and vacationing on the beach. She also was known for her natural talent of photography and enjoyed taking beautiful pictures on her many trips.
She is preceded in death by her parents and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her husband of nearly 58 years, William “Frank” Wurtz; children, Alisa (Pat) Longhofer and Lawrence (Valerie) Wurtz; grandchildren, Nathan Longhofer, Benjamin (fiancée, Olivia Silvers) Longhofer, and Petralie Jo Wurtz; siblings, Nancy (James) Polson, Edgar Keith, and John (Linda) Keith; sister-in-law, Ada Greeley; and many extended family and friends.
