Linda Diane Hernandez, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on February 18, 2024 She was a woman of many talents, leaving a lasting impact wherever she went.
Linda dedicated her working years to various roles, including Universal Welding Company, Libbys Welding, Wilcox Electric, and serving as a custodian for the North Kansas City school district for a decade. Her strong work ethic and commitment shone through in everything she did.
Those whose lives Linda touched are invited to pay their respects at the visitation service on February 23, 2024, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Kansas City. A Mass will follow at the same location to honor her memory, culminating with a Celebration Reception at Terrace Park Cemetery Lakeside Chapel.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Linda will be remembered for her vibrant personality. Despite facing health challenges, she fought bravely with a spirit that inspired all who knew her. Her culinary skills left everyone in awe, she had a wonderful sense of humor that brought light to any room, and her caring nature endeared her to many.
Linda's pretty smile could brighten even the darkest days. She found joy in simple pleasures like going to the casino and had a passion for dancing that led her to meet the love of her life - her husband.
As we bid farewell to Linda Diane Hernandez, let us carry forward the memories of her laughter, kindness, and resilience. May her legacy live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Rest in peace, dear Linda.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents: Darl and Virginia Westcott, and her brother: Robert Westcott.
Surving Linda, is her beloved husband of 52 years: Tommy Hernandez, two sons: Thomas (Sofy) Hernandez, and Robert Hernandez; grandchildren: Selena (Deizon) Rosales, Alexis Hernandez, and Tommey (Zlata) Hernandez; as well as her great grandchildren: Delilah and Diana Rosales. Sister: Barbara (Dave)Stockwell, brother Ron (Marcy) Westcott and many nieces and nephews.
