Linda later graduated from Southwest Missouri State University on August 9th of 1967 and was married three days later on August 12th, 1967 to Ted Gleason.
Linda worked as an elementary school teacher for one year before her first son, Dwain, was born in August of 1971. Linda was a member of New Covenant Baptist Church, later named Fellowship of Grace. She was active in church ministry in Women on Mission, small group Bible studies, and children’s ministry in the church nursery.
Linda was an avid crafter. She particularly loved quilting and was a member of the Nitetime Needlers quilt guild. Throughout her life, she also enjoyed photography, gardening, canning, needlepoint, crochet, and scrapbooking. Most of her beautiful creations were made for family and friends.
Linda was truly excited to become a grandmother, and was known as “Grammy” to five beautiful grandchildren. She took particular joy in quilting or crocheting blankets for each newborn grandchild.
