Funeral services are 2:00 pm Tuesday June 19th at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home, with visitation preceding services 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Burial in Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery. .Lila was the beloved wife of the late Max Dewey, loving mother of Michael and grandsons, Brian and Alan. Beloved sister of Betty Nelson, Roger Rue and the late Malcolm Rue, Irene Aschium, Helen Anderson, Loren Rue and dear aunt and great aunt to many nieces, nephews and friends in Kansas City. Lila was raised in Ridgeway, Iowa, where she excelled scholastically and in sports, after high school she attended American Business School in Des Moines, Iowa where she met her future husband, Max. They were married Dec. 6, 1941. Max and Lila moved many times before settling in Kansas City where she worked at the Veteran's Administration. Her many activities included gardening, bowling, fishing, card games, especially with her grandsons, volunteering at church, and visiting with her extended family and friends.
