Leo Pappas, 90, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the New Mark Care Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Leo was born, August 8, 1926 In Kansas City, Kansas. He graduated from Argentine High School in 1944. Following graduation he entered the U.S. Army and served in combat in Germany in 1945. After his military service, he served briefly as a Kansas City, Missouri fireman before being employed by the U.S. Postal Service, where he served for 40 years retiring in 1988. He was married for 36 years to his wife Betty who preceded him in death in 1996. He was a member of St. Dionysios Greek Orthodox Church and V.F.W. Post 4050.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM with Services immediately following at 11:00AM at the Terrace Park Lakeside Chapel; 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO.
