Lennis Loy Wooten, 82, of Kansas City, Missouri went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 18, 2024.

Lennis was born on May 28, 1941 in Gallup, New Mexico to Howard and Lolah Woods. Following high school, she embarked briefly on college studies before embracing her true calling in life - raising her children. Lennis married the love of her life, Wes Wooten, on January 11, 1961 and from this marriage they were blessed with four children. Known for her spirited and vibrant personality, Lennis endeared herself to countless friends with her sassy wit and boundless joy. She found solace in her faith and delighted in the simple pleasures of shopping. 

Lennis is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wes Wooten; sisters, Wanda Williams, Gloria Noble, Lenore Woods; and brother, Jack Woods.  

She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her children: Debbie (Marc) Cravens, Don (Jamie) Wooten, Lana (CJ) Stenner, and John (Nikki) Wooten; twelve grandchildren: Amanda, Wesley, James, Jordan, Jenna, Colton, Cameron, Isaiah, Sophia, Gabriela, Jakob, and Lola; as well as her five great grandchildren: Milly, Frances, Hazel, Riley, and Walker; sister, Lana Ness; and many extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Northland Cathedral on Wednesday, April 24th, visitation beginning at 10:00am, funeral service at 11:00am; followed burial at Terrace Park Cemetery.
