Lela Marilyn Trester 87, of Gladstone, Missouri passed away peacefully at her home. Lela was born in Moberly, Missouri on March 18, 1926. Lela was the daughter of the late Robert and Velma (Patton) Taylor of Armstrong, Missouri. Lela grew up on the farm. She attended Sharon Grade School, graduated in 1944 from Armstrong High School, and graduated from Central College in 1948. Lela was married to William Trester in 1948 and moved to Columbia where he attended the University of Columbia and Lela worked at the College of Agriculture.Bill and Lela moved to Kansas City in 1952 in search of employment. Lela was employed by Graybar Electric from 1951 to 1957. Lela is survived by her husband William, son Gary and wife Kris, daughter Martha and husband Mark, and son Robert and wife Nicole. Grandchildren are Stephanie Siers, Michelle Trester, Matthew Templin, Megan Templin, Mitchell Templin, Cannon Trester, Peyton Trester, and Callum Trester. Lela was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Memorial services are 10:00 am Monday October 14th at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 Northwest 108th Street, Kansas City, Missouri.
