Lee R. Cotter, 85 of Holt, MO died at Excelsior Springs Care Center on Monday, August 1, 2016. He was born July 17, 1931, Viola, Arkansas to the late Thurlo and Gertrude (Crotts) Cotter.
Lee retired as an inspector from the Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korea Conflict. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time on his property.
He is survived by his son Stephen Cotter; daughter Lori Goshorn; grandchildren Ryan and Trisha Goshorn ; brothers J.R. (the late Barbara) Cotter, Carl (Margaret) Cotter and Larry (the late Rose) Cotter; sisters Alice (Lehman) Spence, Fern (the late Tom) Blake and Glenda (Jim) Stone; step-daughters Linda (George) Pinkerton and Debra (Jeff) Cindrich and step-son David (Indah) Keeton, step-grandchildren Leah Wooten and Joey Hon, step-great-grandchildren Michael Andreu, Reah Scott, Reign Hartley, and Chloe Hartley, and numerous extended family and friends.
Lee is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 55 years Helen; step-daughter Karen Keeton; brothers Marvin (Jeanne surviving) Cotter, Glen (Monteen surviving), Chester (Lola) Cotter, Birl (Millie) Cotter and Randle (Wanda Lea surviving).
Visitation will be Friday, August 5, 2016 from10-11 AM with funeral service at 11 AM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Interment with military honors will follow in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice of charities.
