Lee Conn

Lee D. Conn, age 98, of Platte City, MO passed away January 6, 2014. Cremation with a memorial service will be held 10:00am, Saturday, January 11th at Mount Moriah Terrace Park, 801 NW 108th Street. He was born February 24, 1915 to Lee and Elisabeth (Bossenbergger) Conn. He graduates from Smithville High School in 1933. He enlisted and served 4 years in the World War II spending most of it in Alaska. He married Genevieve Muzzall February 15, 1945 and spent 67 years together. He was employed with Sun Oil Company and Explorer products Pipeline in Tulsa, OK as Superintendent of Operations until returning in 1980. He was a member of South Platte Kiwanis, Masonic Lodge in Smithville, MO and Moila Shrine in St. Joseph. Proceeding in death was his parents; brother, Robert Conn; sister, Delma (Conn) Mitchell; nephew, Thomas Mitchell and daughter, Martha Butler. He leaves his wife, Genevieve, of the home; two nephews, Robert Conn and William Conn; two grandchildren, Lisa and David Cameron. In lieu of flowers, his wish is to the Memorial Fund of Hoover Christian Church, 15180 B Hwy, Platte City, MO 64079
