Larry McCollum, 86, of Kansas City Missouri passed away peacefully on August 4,2024. Larry’s remarkable life was defined by his unwavering dedication to his family, faith and his work.
Larry was married to the love of his life Sharon, together they shared 58 years of marriage. They had a true partnership and built a home where love and laughter were abundant. Larry was a hard-working man who provided well for his family. He worked for Colgate-Palmolive for 30 years where he displayed commitment and dedication. Qualities that were a true testament of his character.
Larry was a man of faith, and was a member of Rock of KC. He found solace and strength in his spiritual beliefs and lived his life with kindness and compassion towards others.
An avid walker, Larry took great pleasure in tracking his miles and maintaining his health. His daily walks were more then just a form of exercise to him, they were truly purposeful. He was also a passionate Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoyed the game through every season.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents: Wallace and Margie McCollum
He is survived by his loving wife: Sharon McCollum, daughter: Marla (Bob) Veyera, son: Jeffrey McCollum, grandchildren: Devin, Blake, and Jessica, greatgrandchildren: Zane, and Ezra, Brother: Walter (Betty) McCollum
Larry will be missed by all and remembered for his steadfast love and devotion to his family.
A celebration will be held in honor of Larry on Saturday August 10,2024 at the Wellington Senior Living in Liberty, Missouri, 10:30AM.
