Larry Ray Liebsch Sr. passed peacefully in his sleep October 27th, 2021 at the age of 73.
Larry was born December 1, 1947 to Otto and Dollie Liebsch (Wisdom). He graduated from North Kansas City High School and was then stationed in Houston, Texas in the military air force as well as the US Army. He met his wife Sandra and married November 14th, 1966. They had 2 children Dawn Renee and Larry Ray Jr. He was a police officer for the Kansas City Police Department and retired in 1995. He joined Operation Desert Storm and was stationed in Saudi Arabia. Larry loved to hunt, fish, ride his Harleys and was quite the joker. Larry is preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Sandra, daughter Dawn Overstreet and father Otto Liebsch Jr.. He is leaving behind his mother Dollie Liebsch of Rockaway Beach, MO, two sisters Sherry McKichan of Rockaway Beach, MO & Nancy (Rod) Gordon of Kansas City, MO, son Larry Ray Liebsch Jr (Tammi) of Cameron, MO, four grandchildren, Jacob, Brooke, Maddison, Josh, five great grandchildren and three nephews Scott, Cody & Gene.
A Celebration of Life held at the Shoal Creek Police Academy, 6885 NE Pleasant Valley Rd, Kansas City, MO 64119, on Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 1-3pm, with military honors at 1:00pm.
