Larry Hegendeffer

Larry Steven Hegendeffer, 68, of Kansas City, MO died on Saturday, November 21, 2015. He was born June 14, 1947, in Kansas City, to the late Harold and Hazel (Jones) Hegendeffer.
He was the loving husband of nearly 45 years of Marlene Hegendeffer; dear father of Larry S. Hegendeffer II and Joseph (Amy) Hegendeffer; cherished grandfather of Haley, Emily, Annie, Krystal, Charles, Noah and Isabel. Beloved brother of James Hegendeffer; he was a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Larry enjoyed racquet ball, playing Snooker and pool, motorcycles, he and his wife built a “geo dome” home in Smithville, and he proudly served our country in the Air Force. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. He showed that concern for others by making the loving gift of donating his body to science.
A memorial gathering will be Friday, November 27, 2015 from 4 PM until time of service at 6 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO.
