LaDona Kessel

February 19, 1942 — January 11, 2024

LaDona Lea (Sharpe) Kessel, of Clearwater Beach passed away on January 11, 2024 age 81. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on February 19, 1942 to Howard Wilson and Patsy Margaret (Gentry) Sharpe.

She was an elementary teacher in the Smithville School District, New Bloomville School District, Jefferson City School District and the North Kansas City School District. After her retirement she was an ESL tutor for several years in the Raytown School District.

LaDona was married to Robert "Bob" Kessel for 55 years. She was the love of his life. Bob and Dona had started the process of selling their condo and moving back to the Kansas City area. Upon Bob's return, a service will be announced.

After their retirement, Dona and Bob became active volunteers and supporters of the Raytown Educational Foundation.
