Kimberly Sue Weis-Rucker was born on April 29th, 1959 to mother Peggy Fuller Weis and departed father Donald L. Weis in Bryan, Ohio. She had been a resident of Platte City, Missouri; spending the last 8 years with her husband, Mr. William Rucker. Kimberly passed away in St. Luke’s hospital in Kansas City, Missouri on Thursday, December 29th of 2016 at the age of 57 years young. Better referred to as ‘Kim’ by the majority of her family and friends, she was brimming with spirit and a passion for life that was seemingly contagious to all that had the honor of crossing paths with her. Many of us will remember all of the laughter from her favorite jokes, quick wit, and simply enjoying all the spontaneous silly moments we shared with her. Among her favorite joys in life were nature, travelling, crafting, and family. Allow me to expound: Kimberly truly enjoyed being one with nature, spending much of her free time gardening, tending to animals, photographing special moments such as breathtaking sunsets, freshly fallen snow, wildlife, and of course- her beloved gardens. From her beautiful fresh gardens came yet another passion; Kim loved to cook and bake, often using her own hand grown ingredients in many of her dishes. And you can bet that even in the off season, many of us were still able to enjoy some of her fresh fruits and vegetables due to her fondness in canning. Kim spent many of her younger years living and traveling in different states, such as Colorado, Wisconsin, and Florida to name a few; soaking in the gorgeous views and capturing many of them on camera. In recent years she thoroughly enjoyed traveling alongside her husband to a myriad of car shows and special events throughout the United States. Holidays and birthdays were always very special to Kim as well, as she so loved spending time making everything from little trinkets, to timeless cherished pieces of art work to share and gift to her loved ones. Many of her free hours were spent sewing, painting, woodworking, and utilizing different materials in nature to create and decorate. Among her array of passions, most notably would be her family and friends. Kimberly loved with every moral fiber of her being, and those who knew her well, felt that love and felt it often. Kim was selfless, light spirited, creative, valiant and an all-around talented woman. It is wise to say that the love that she exuded from her being was very much reciprocated, as her family and friends loved her and loved sharing stories about her with everyone. Kim will be greatly missed by many. Kim is survived by her loving husband William Rucker, sisters Julie (Robert) Montemayer, Kristy Lamers and Jennifer (Eric) Zickefoose; her mother Peggy Weis, 4 nieces, 1 nephew and 1 great-niece. In addition to her father Kim is preceded in death by her brothers Michael and Larry Weis, 3 nephews and 1 niece. Services are not finalized at this time.
