Kimberly Kaye Elkins, 61, of Kansas City, MO passed away on November 30, 2020.
Kim was born on September 22, 1959 in Kansas City to Chuck and Audrey Mercer. She attended Winnetonka High School. Kim spent many years as a homemaker and took great pride in caring for her children. She enjoyed spending summers at her family's cabin on Lake Pomme de Terre, fishing for crappie, and decorating for holidays - Christmas was her favorite, but of all her favorite pastimes, being with her family was most important, especially the time spent with her grandchildren and black labs.
Kim is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carolyn Elkins; brother, Charles Mercer Jr.; and sister, Sharlea Leatherwood. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her husband of 19 years, Philip Elkins; children, Dana Logan, Michelle Miller, David Miller Jr., Felecia Miller, Cynthia (Chris) Ward, Nichole Miller, Andrew Elkins and Amanda (Daniel) Clymore; 28 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; brother, Tim Mercer; and many extended family and friends. Services will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home, with the visitation held on Thursday, December 3rd from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and the funeral service held Friday, December 4th at 12:00pm, followed by the graveside service at Paradise Cemetery in Paradise, MO.
