Kenneth Leroy Goepferich 80, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away at home November 13, 2024, surrounded by his wife Maggie; daughter Christy; his son Jeff; and his grandchildren.
Kenneth was born September 21, 1944, in Coffey Missouri to Victor and Katherine Heil Goepferich. He attended and graduated from Coffey Highschool.
On May 8th, 1968, he married Margaret Louise Farrell. Together they shared 56 years of marriage. Mr. Goepferich was drafted in 1965 into the US Army and served in the Vietnam War until 1967.
Kenneth worked at Associate Wholesale Grocers as a truck driver for 35 years and retired in 1998. He was then employed with Park Hill School District for 15 years. Upon retirement he enjoyed restoring old cars, going to car shows, and he loved farming with a friend. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.
Kenneth will be greatly missed by his family and all who had the honor of knowing him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Katherine Goepferich, brothers Leo, Reynold, Harold, Donnie, and Bob; sisters, Rosie, Agnes, Leona, Theresa, Ardella, and Pat.
Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife Maggie Goepferich; daughter Christy (Matt) Bellm; son Jeff (Teresa) Goepferich; grandchildren; Colby (Kylie) Goepferich, Matthew (Nicolette) Bellm, Dylan Bellm, Jeffrey, Anna, Phillip Goepferich, Brenell (Dan) Harris, and Kevin (Sharon) Goepferich; great-grandchildren Remington, Breckyn Goepferich, baby boy Goepferich due in January, Dayton, Bently, Avery, Rhett Goepferich, Jude, and Gwendolyn Harris.
Family will receive friends Thursday, November 21 from 6:00 to 8:00 at Terrace Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 801 N.W. 108th Street, Kansas City Missouri 64155. Mass will be held on Friday November 22, at 10:00 am at ST. Andrew The Apostle, located at 6415 NE. Antioch Road, Gladstone Missouri 64119. With a graveside following at Resurrection Cemetery located at 5001 NE. Cookingham Dr., Kansas City Missouri. Dinner following graveside service.
