Keener A. Hall, died Aug. 18 at North Care Hospice at North Kansas City Hospital. He was bornin 1933 in Wythe County, VA. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Keener Adams Hall. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; his sister, Janet Russ of Roanoke, VA; his wonderful family, Mark and daughter in law Becky, Keener and daughter in law Heidi and daughter Linda Hall; nine grandchildren, Joshua, David, Heather, Grace, Tori, Charlie and Jacob; Great-granddaughters, Abby and Hannah.
Keener grew up in Rural Retreat, Virginia. After graduating high school, he served four years in the U.S. Air Force in the early 1950’s during the Korean Conflict. While stationed at Grandview AFB, he met Eleanor while she was attending nursing school in Kansas City. They were married for 62 years. He worked for 33 years as a mechanic and inspector for T.W.A. He and Eleanor raised their children in Kansas City North where he coached his son’s football teams, took his family on vacations camping, fishing, and traveling to see our nation’s parks and monuments. Keener and Eleanor retired to the Lake of the Ozarks for 10 years and then eventually moved to the Riverstone Retirement Community.
Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Terrace Park Cemetery. Please, no flowers.
