Kathy Mayabb

Kathy Marie Mayabb, 60, of Kansas City, MO passed away on September 17, 2020.

Kathy was born on August 11, 1960 in Kansas City, KS to Marvin and Janette Shull. She graduated from Oak Park High School in 1978. Kathy was a fun-loving free spirit and believed in both the importance of working hard and playing hard. She worked as a waitress for many years, most recently at the Liberty Waffle House for the past eight years.  When she was not working, she enjoyed taking trips and riding on the back of the Harley with her husband, Mike. She also had a love for tacos and never turn down an opportunity to go out for “Taco Tuesday” with loved ones. She was affectionately known as “Peaches” to her close friends and family and was always proud to show off her tattoo of a peach on her forearm. She also enjoyed listening to music, preferably classic or contemporary rock.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Mark and Michael Shull.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her husband, Mike; her son Kenneth Lock, daughter Kassandra Stafford and grandsons Jonathon and Mason; sisters, Linda (Jerry) Kahler, Jo-Ann Tanner, and Marilyn (Greg) Miller; and numerous extended family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 11:00am, with a visitation held an hour before. Flowers are welcome or contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
