Kathryn J. Shingleton

Kathryn J. Shingleton 92, of Kansas City, North, went to be with the Lord on November 6, 2023, after a long illness. She was born Kathryn Jean Johnston on November 9, 1930, in Buffalo, Missouri to Ralph Jackson and Hazel Ruth (Johnston) Skinner. Kathryn and her mother moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she met her future husband. She was a full-time homemaker, a great wife and mother.

In addition to her parents, Kathryn is preceded in death by her husband of 75, years Melvin Keith Shingleton, 94, and her son Gary Wayne Shingleton, 74.

She is survived by her only son Keith Douglas Shingleton 69, and his wife Rose Mary (Perez) Shingleton 78, of Gladstone Missouri.  2 grandchildren: Melissa Kaye Shingleton, 45, of Casa Grande, Arizona, and Kevin Nathaniel Shingleton, 41, of Kansas City, North and one great-grandson A.J. Shingleton-Willis III, of Casa Grande, Arizona.

Kathryn will be laid to rest between her husband, Melvin, and son Gary at Terrace Park Cemetery.
