Karla Burlington

Karla Jean (Kovanik) Burlington, 73, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on September 22, 2019.

Karla was born on October 20, 1945 to George and Isabelle Kovanik in Cleveland, Ohio. The family moved to Kansas City when Karla was still a young girl. She graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1963. She worked as a secretary for McNight Eye Care Center in Kansas City and was an office manger in an eye center in San Antonio, Texas. She spent a number of years as a member of the Rebekah Golden Link Lodge #677. She married her best friend, Roy Burlington on December 30 1988. She loved to spoil Roy with her baked goods and always enjoyed the witty back and forth banter they shared. Karla is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Iris Garzee; and nephew, Alan Brown. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her husband, Roy Burlington, and nephew, Scott Brown.

A private memorial will be held to celebrate her life.
