JULIUS SPENCER HAMMEL
Julius Spencer Hammel, 88, of Kansas City, MO passed away on September 17, 2015. He was born on September 9, 1927 in Bloomfield, MO to William Homer and Carrie (Creed) Hammel. Julius enjoyed a long career with Cook Paint & Varnish, later known as Davis Paint. He was proud of his 56 years membership in the Masonic Lodge as well as the Shriners and Scottish Rite.
Julius was preceded in death by his first wife of 48 years, Mary Nell (Williams) Hammel, and beloved grandson, Zachary David Hammel.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 15 years, Bonnie Lee (Sauerhage) Hammel, son, David Spencer (Laura) Hammel, daughter, Nancy Lee Hammel, grandson, Jake Spencer Hammel, and three great grand-daughters. He also leaves brother, Homer Eugene (Bettie) Hammel, sisters, Ruth Clary and Marcia (Dexter) Vaughn, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 21, 2015 from 1-2 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Funeral service will follow at 2 PM.
