Judie Ann Littleton, 83, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022 at North Kansas City Hospice House with her family by her side.
Judie was born to Lorena and Robert Burns on February 15, 1939 in Beloit, Kansas. She was raised in Parkville, MO and attended Park Hill High School and continued her education at Central Missouri State College.
Judie had many passions in life from early ages that she took pride in. Throughout her life she thrived to continue to grow as both a dancer and dance teacher. One little known endeavor is, as teenagers, Judie and her brother, Bob, became closer due to their Dance School they and their mother created in Parkville. They taught tap, acrobatics, and ballet. For years they were students of their dance school still living in the Parkville area. She was also an incredible painter, a hobby that she took from her mother. She continued to take on new hobbies and roles into her adult years such as becoming an avid reader, traveler and most importantly, grandmother.
Some of her favorite past times include her many road trips around the country and to Alaska with her husband, Charlie. Judie loved spending time with her grandchildren whether it was attending a school event, going on fishing trips, or attending their sporting events. She took pride in her family and all their accomplishments over the years.
Judie was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandma. Her infectious smile, quick witty charm, and love for everyone around her will be truly missed. Judie was a quiet, strong, and smart person. She was a fighter and showed us all what it meant to be strong for others in our own times of struggle.
Judie was preceded in death by her parents, Lorena and Robert Burns; nephew, Roger Burns; and son-in-law, Thomas Lewis.
