Joseph Audsley

Joseph “Joe” Audsley, 94, of Plano, Texas; died on Tuesday, December 25, 2018.  He was born September 10, 1924 in DeWitt, Missouri to the late Francis William and Lucy Grace (Carson) Audsley.

He is survived by his son, Larry (wife Donna) Audsley, daughter, Nancy (husband Merle) Davidson, grandchildren - Scott Audsley, Laura (Audsley) McGinley, Daniel Davidson, Mark Davidson, and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his wife Erma Lee Audsley, who died in 2011.

Joe and Lee were married on September 12, 1946; Joe proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a one-man weather unit on the attack transport U.S.S. Highlands APA 119. After his service he worked as a technician/meteorologist with the National Weather Service.

During their retirement years, Joe and Lee tutored school children through Youth Friends in the North Kansas City School District. They also enjoyed traveling, and Joe and Lee made many trips to visit their children and grandchildren in Texas and Arizona.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 2-4 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Funeral service will be Monday, December 31, at 10  AM at Gashland Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 8029 N. Oak Tfwy., Kansas City, Mo.  Interment with military honors will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in DeWitt, Carroll County, Missouri.
