Johnnie C. “Jackie” Knecht, 94 of Kansas City, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016 at NorthCare Hospice house. She was born October 15, 1921 in Hamburg, Arkansas to the late: Roscoe Bryan, and Johnnie Mae Bryan (nee Box).
She was a waitress for many years, serving people and also serving God. She dedicated her time to the Honor Center after retiring.
Jackie was the loving mother of; Bill Martin, Patty Martin, Carolyn Kuhn and Don Knecht. Jackie was a dear grandmother of Jenny, Jessica, Curt, Evy, Kris, Brian,Jill, B.T., Thomas Dale and numerous great-grandchildren and extended family.
In addition to her parents Jackie is preceded in death by her husband John L. Knecht, her daughter Jeanie Knecht-Day, her brother E.C., sisters Maxine and Joyce.
Visitation will be Friday June 3, 2016 from 5-7 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Funeral service will be Saturday June 4, 2016 at 10 AM also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the New Kingdom of Faith and Restoration Church, 5100 NE Chouteau Trfwy, Kansas City, MO 64119.
