John Rhone

John Rhone, 80, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa to the late Elmer and Margaret (Anderson) Rhone on January 20, 1937.
John proudly served in the U.S. Army, worked for PT&T, AT&T, Sprint. In his retirement he became a CPA and worked for H&R Block. When he was not working he and Millie enjoyed golfing—he got at hole in 1 in Kearney and bowling—scoring a perfect 300 game at a sanctioned event in Des Moines. He married Millie on April 3, 1965 in Des Moines and they remained happily married for 52 years.
He is survived by his wife Millie, son William Rhone, daughter Diana Rhone and son David (Cheryl) Rhone. Grandchildren Bailey and Allison Rhone; sister Mary Jane (Marvin) Smith and brother Richard (Susan) Rhone and his grand-puppies Toby, Bentley and Coco.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 10:30 AM to 12 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Funeral service will be at 12 PM at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow at Terrace Park Cemetery.
