John Reed

John Thomas "Cricket" Reed, 64, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away November 13, 2013. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm Friday November 22nd at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home. Visitation will precede the Celebration from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. John was born July 9, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Tonganoxie High School and graduated from McLouth High School in 1967. Cricket started his career at Trans World Airlines on October 31, 1968. He retired from TWA/American Airlines in 2005 after 37 years of service. At the time of his death he was on leave from his job as a security guard at Zona Rosa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary (Huitt) Reed and Lowell Reed, brother in law, William S. Harlan, and his niece, Becky Reed. Survivors include his sister, Rosemary (Reed) Harlan, brother, George Ronald Reed, sister, Marsha (Reed) Walbridge, and husband, Richard, nieces and nephews, Kathy (Harlan) Collier, Terri (Harlan) English, Tammie Harlan, Paula (Reed) Workman, Rhonda (Walbridge) Noll, Leah (Walbridge) Bristol, Dick Walbridge, great nieces and nephews, 13 great great nieces and nephews.
