John was born on June 3, 1961 in San Antonio, TX. He grew up in Orange County, CA and enjoyed spending his time hot ridin’, swimming and surfing. He attended El Toro High School where he made many lifelong friends through the ROTC program. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp, where he served for four years. After leaving the military he moved to Kansas City for a new beginning, because he had a buddy here and had to get out of California. Soon after he met the love of his life, Rosalie Hunter, and the two were married on May 10, 1986. From this marriage they had two children. John loved nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his three grandsons. John was an avid music lover and concert goer. He particularly enjoyed classic rock and his favorite band, KISS. John was also part of a special group known as the KC Superfans. He never missed a Chiefs game and would be decked out from head to toe in his Chiefs gear, ready to cheer on his beloved team to victory. John is preceded in death by his parents and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his wife, Rosie; children, Eric (wife, Keri) and Angela (husband, Brandon); grandsons, Lars, Link, and Finn; numerous extended family and many friends.
