John Henry Jenkinson II was born on November 21, 1950 to John H Jenkinson I and Clarice Mae (Stone) Jenkinson in Kansas City, Missouri.
He joined the U.S. Army after graduating from Park Hill High School in 1968, at the age of 17.
He completed training as a Clinical Specialist in the Army in 1969, following which he was deployed to Vietnam where he served as a Combat Medic for the 25th Infantry Division for 13 months.
In his private life he performed numerous jobs in the field of nursing. He loved to buy, sell and collect antiques. He was a graduate of the Kansas City Missouri Auction School.
He leaves a wife, Jane L Jenkinson, son John H Jenkinson III, brother and sister-in-law Jim and Terry Jenkinson, a niece Jamie Jenkinson, and sister-in-law Jennifer L Fox.
John loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles, guns, and everything about this great country. He loved his family dearly and always held them close to his heart. Being with his family always brought him great joy. We always shared laughter and love of one another when together. He will be greatly missed. Funeral services are Friday, July 7th, 2017, 1pm at Terrace Park Funeral Home; 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) KCMO 64155. Burial in Terrace Park Cemetery immediately following the service.
