John Allee

John Allee, 69, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022. He was born March 27, 1953, in Trenton, Missouri to Robert and Emma Lou (Gillette) Allee.

John had a deep love for music and was always singing; he played the trumpet, guitar and gave other instruments a try as well.  His fascination with history led him to becoming an avid reenactment participant, from early fur trappers to the Civil War. There were many family trips to historic places in Missouri and beyond to help satisfy his historical curiosity. He also enjoyed hunting and was a member and Master Judge of the Kansas City Bar-B-Que Society (KCBS).

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Peggy his sons James, daughter-in-law Corrine and Andrew Allee; grandchildren Isla, Benjamin and Saxon, his sister Linda Allee Brickey and his mother Emma Lou Allee.

John is preceded in death by his father, Robert and his grandparents Fern and Roberta Gillette.

A gathering of friends and family to honor John’s life will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 5-7 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO.
