Joe Giangreco, Jr.

March 21, 1943 — August 20, 2024

Joe Giangreco Jr. 81, of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 20th, 2024. 

Visitation rescheduled to 10-11AM, Friday, September 27, 2024 at Terrace Park Funeral Home and Cemetery Chapel with a service to follow at 11AM. Graveside service will take place at Terrace Park Cemetery after the services, 801 NW 108th Street, Kansas City, MO 64155. 

Joe had such a fun sense of humor and quick wit that brought smiles and giggles to everyone around him. He enjoyed sightseeing with his beloved wife, Roxann of 58 years, spending time with his family, tennis, delicious food (especially spumoni ice cream), collecting model cars, and working in the yard. As a family, they traveled to the Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Hawaii, Mexico, several trips taking the camper to Colorado, and celebrating their 50th anniversary in Durango Colorado with the whole family. It was a life full of so many amazing family memories. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Joe was born in Kansas City, MO to Joe Sr. and Nancy Giangreco. He graduated from North Kansas City High School and joined the military after. His career spanned 40 years at TWA and American Airlines as a Buyer. 

He married the love of his life Roxann, July 16th, 1966. Their 58-year marriage, filled with love, respect and true companionship, has set an example for the entire family. 

Joe is survived by his loving wife: Roxann Giangreco, two daughters: Leslie (Curt) Patana, Kathy (Patrick) Bellew and his grandchildren: Zoe, Madelyn, Bryce and Joseph. 

He is preceded in death by his parents Joe Sr. and Nancy Giangreco. 

Joe’s final 1.5 year journey was supported at home by loving family members: Bellew Family, Patana Family, Logan Family, Gremmer Family, as well as, by KC Hospice. Sheri (with an I) LaDonna, Barb and Michael provided exceptional care and support for Joe and Roxann during this difficult time. 

Joe was a loving and devoted husband, father & grandfather, who cherished spending time with his family and will be forever missed.
