Joseph “Joe” Fredrick, son of the late Ervin & Ivola (Ludwick) Fredrick, was born on July 17, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri and departed this life on November 19, 2018 in Kansas City, Missouri. At the time of his passing he was 73 years of age.
He was raised in Kansas City, Missouri by his grandparents, where he attended North Kansas City High School. After graduation, on June 22, 1964 he was united in marriage to Sharon Vance, his Jr. High school sweetheart, and to this union one child was born. It was his dream to travel to all fifty states and together they fulfilled that dream. He enjoyed bowling tournaments, pool tournaments and was an avid golfer. He was a master A&P Airline Mechanic (Known at TWA as the “G Man”) and worked TWA and later American Airlines for 43 years; he was a proud union member of the IAM local 1650. He was a strong family man always putting his family first.
Joe was preceded in passing by his parents and his daughter, Rhonda Burns. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Fredrick; two grandchildren, Sharon Burns and Joseph Burns; and his beloved pet, Trixie. He also leaves behind many friends and family who will all truly miss him.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, November 26, 2018 at the North Heartland Community Church at 1:00 p.m. with Kitti Homan officiating. Visitation will take place from 11:00-1:00 prior to the service. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the North Heartland Community Church.
