A proud veteran, Joe served his country in the US Army, bringing honor and dignity to his service. His dedication to his family and community remained a hallmark of his character throughout his life. Joe possessed a variety of interests that brought him joy and fulfillment. He loved to fish, often sharing these peaceful moments with his family. Joe had a passion for travel, exploring new places and creating lasting memories with loved ones. Gardening was another love of his, where he found solace and satisfaction tending to his plants. In his later years, playing bingo brought him delight, allowing him to engage with friends in a fun and spirited atmosphere.

 

Joe's legacy of positivity, kindness, and love for adventure will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed, but his memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

 

Joe was preceded in death by his parents: Ira and Leva Carter; his wife: Lucille Carter; and brothers: Gerald Carter and Ronald Carter.

 

He is survived by his loving family. Sons: Jonathan (Laurie) Carter and Ben Carter; grandchildren: Nathan, Ashleigh, Justin, Cole, Cade, Chandler, and Brinkley; as well as his great grandchildren: Liam, William, Henry, and Penelope.
