JoAnn B. Powell, 76, passed away September 27, 2011. JoAnn was affectionately known as "Granny" to all who knew her. She was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Smithville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow Wilson Snow, Sr and Lala Irene Hulet-Snow and brother, Woodrow Wilson "Bud" Snow, Jr. Survivors include her husband, John Powell; children, Kenny Edwards of Platte City, MO, Karen Leach and husband, Mike of Independence, MO, Tom Edwards and wife, Tina of Platte City, MO and Roberta Ealey of Kansas City, MO; 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Melvin "Spud" Snow, Ronnie D. Snow and William "Bill" R. Snow and 1 sister, Andrea C. Edelman.Funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday, September 30 at Mt. Moriah Terrace Park. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 29 at the funeral home.
