JO ANN COLLINS
JoAnn (Riegel) Collins, 82, of Kearney, MO passed away July 5, 2016. She was born August 30, 1933 to Walter Dan and Orpha Cordelia (O’Dell) Riegel.
JoAnn had a great zest for life and enjoyed many years square dancing with her husband. She loved her cat, but her greatest joy in life came from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her eyes would light up the moment she saw them or started talking about them.
JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Leo Riegel and Walter Clay Riegel and sister, Lois Schultz.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 64 years, Jewell; 3 daughters, Jan (Jay) Hesby, Judy (Rick) Jurgens, Jackie (Dannie) Scobee; 7 grandchildren, Brian (Robin), Jonathan (Rozelyn), Sara (Jerry), Matthew (Tina), Amy (Corey), Kevin (Sara), Meredith; 14 great-grandchildren, Eric, Jace, Allison, Gage, Rachel, Morgan, Emma, Alex, Aaley, Logan, Parker, Alaina, Emerson and Reese; brother, Robert Riegel and sister, Reva Fiandaca.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 10, 2016 from 11-12PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO with services following at 12 PM. Burial in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Crossroads Hospice. Online condolences at TerraceParkFuneral.com.
