Joan M. Murray, 86 of Leawood, KS, passed from this life on Thursday, November 17, 2016. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, on July 8, 1930 to the late Raymond and Dorothy (Langdon) Larkin.
Joan lived a great 86 years as a loving mother, grandmother and Registered Nurse. She loved to travel, dance, laugh and paint; working with oils and pastels and she had a tremendous talent with watercolors.
She is survived by her children: Paul D. (Karen) Cox, Kathleen (Mark Gannon) Cox, Peter Cox, Terry Cox, Tim Cox, Steve Cox, John Cox and Reghan (Justin) Pangborn; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by husbands Paul Cox and Robert H. Murray and her daughter Shannon Murray.
Visitation will be Monday, November 21, 2016 from 10-11AM at Terrace Park’s Lakeside Chapel, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Fr. Joseph Cisetti will officiate the service at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Terrace Park Cemetery.
