Jessie Lee Avila, 79, of Kansas City, MO passed away on February 11, 2022. She was born to the late Cayetano Razo and the late Frances Garcia on December 13, 1942. She married the love of her life, Louis Avila on March 18, 1993.
Jessie was employed with the International Paper Company and retired after 30 years of service.
She was an excellent cook. Often making tacos, burritos, and enchiladas at family gatherings. Jessie always made sure that you never left with an empty stomach. She enjoyed gardening and decorating the house for Christmas. Most of all, she enjoyed taking her grandchildren to the zoo and amusements parks. She loved to see others smile.
She was a strong willed, fierce, and honest woman. She will be remembered for the great love that she gave to her family, especially her grandchildren.
Jessie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: John and Isaac (Emily) Razo; sisters Rose (Chuck) Buckley, Josephine (Robert) Perez, and Eva (Francisco) Martinez.
She is survived by her loving husband, Louis; daughters: Victoria (Bill) Hogle, and Catherine (Kevin) Witte; grandchildren: Sarah (Branndon), W. Chandler, and Katelyn; as well as numerous family and friends.
