Jesse "Junior" Williams, 88, passed away on November 12, 2018.
Jesse "Junior" was born on August 13, 1930 to Jesse and Clara Bell Williams in Dawson, Missouri. He spent his early years in Mountain Grove, MO until he joined the Army in 1951, where he was stationed in Germany as a gunner during the Korean War. He returned to Kansas City and married Leeta Lathrom on June 6, 1959. He worked at Certeed, a fiberglass installation company, for 26 years until it's closing. As someone who always had a great respect for law enforcement, Jesse began working as a water patrol safety officer at Lake Waukomis in 1980, and retired after 27 years. He also worked for the Park Hill School District from 1982-1995. Outside of work, Jesse was a proud member of Bethany Assembly of God Church and Rock Creek Assembly of God.
Jesse is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Leeta Williams; brother, Lawrence Williams; sisters, Shirley Delcour and Helen Nelson; and one granddaughter.
He is survived by his children; Dawnna (Mike) Bolling of Gladstone, MO and Danny (Robin) Williams of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Keith and James Bolling, and Brandon and Bradley Williams; great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Leeta, Liahna, Layla, and Zoe; brother, Ralph Williams of Challis, ID; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on November 17, 2018 at Terrace Park Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 1pm and the funeral service at 2pm.
