Jennifer Lee Cessna, 38, of Kansas City, MO, died suddenly on Thursday, March 16, 2017 from a brain aneurysm suffered in a fall at her home. She was born April 4, 1978 in Kansas City, MO. She is survived by her parents Dan and Connie (Williamson) Von Ruden. She was preceded in death by grandparents Lee and Frances Williamson as well as grandparents Ray and Lila Von Ruden.
Jenny graduated from Smithville High School and attended Penn Valley Junior College where she studied child growth and development.
After leaving school, she began her life’s work, passion, and greatest accomplishment which was raising her five wonderful children. She was the proud mother of Jake and Josh Stewart and Adyn, Adley and Alec Cessna.
In addition to her five children, she leaves behind her brothers Andy and Michael (Krystal ) Von Ruden, friends Jen Picone and Shannon Saad, and an extended family of relatives and close friends.
Jenny’s kind and generous heart is what she will remembered for most. She was unfailing kind to others, especially those who were elderly or disabled. In keeping with this giving spirit, her older children, Jake and Josh, chose to honor their mother’s life by donating her organs thereby ensuring that her legacy will live on in others.
Jenny's life will be celebrated with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church 18601 N 169 HWY, Smithville, MO 64089. The family will receive condolences at the church beginning at 9 AM. Interment will be at Terrace Park Cemetery. All are welcome to attend a luncheon at the church following the cemetery services.
