Jeanne A. Knight, 89 of Kansas City, MO passed away at Summit View Terrace on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. She was born in Leavenworth, KS to the late Clarence Deloss and Mary Benetta Terry on June 18, 1927.
She was a member of the Church of Latter-day Saints Ward 1 in Liberty for many years, a member of the ABWA-Liberty Belle Chapter where she also served as Past National Secretary. She was a past volunteer at Liberty Hospital, member of the Order of Eastern Star—Barry Chapter; she was a talented artist, loved ceramics and painting, she collected Santa Claus figures, plate collections including Animals, Indians and Gone With the Wind. She also collected tiny animal figures.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Lou (Roger) Gaunt; grandchildren, James Bates, Melissa Lindsey, Stephen Gaunt and Russell Gaunt; great-grandchildren Rileigh, Regan, Alex, Adam and Nicholas. Also surviving are her cats CC and Midnight; and will meet Charlie and Manny at the Rainbow Bridge. The family would like to thank the staff of Summit View Terrace for their care and welcoming of a new friend.
Funeral service will be Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1130 N. Clayview Dr, Liberty, MO 64068. Private interment in Mt.
