Jeanie Knecht Day

Jeanie Dephane Knecht Day, 63, of Kansas City, MO passed from the arms of her loving family into the realm of the angels on July 19, 2013. Memorial services are 10:00 am Saturday July 27th at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th Street. Visitation will precede services 9:00 - 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may made to the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City.Jeanie was born September 28, 1949 in Grand Island, NE. She attended schools in Des Moines, IA and graduated from Oak Park High School in Kansas City, MO in 1967, and the University of Missouri Kansas City. She worked for Farmland Industries, Worldspan, TWA/American Airlines, and Phillips Lifeline. Jeanie enjoyed her home and loved support of her family and her many wonderful and loyal friends. She was an avid birdwatcher, loved travel and her dog, Lady. Jeanie loved life and dreamed of world peace. She was preceded in death by her father, John Louis Knecht. She is survived by and will live on in the hearts of her mother, Johnnie C. Knecht, Kansas City, MO, brothers, Don L. Knecht, Kansas City, MO, Billy Martin, Point, TX, sisters, Patricia Martin, Sioux City, IA, Mary Carolyn Kuhn, Des Moines, IA, and her many other loving family members and friends.
