Jane I. Willis, 76, of Kansas City, MO, died on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 after a short battle with cancer. She was born May 16, 1940 in Kansas City, MO to the late Lawrence and Florine (Fowler) Crotty.
Jane will forever be remembered as the root of the family tree; who could adapt to any situation from formal to laid back. She will also be remembered for her baking and cooking, especially her five cup salad. She and her late husband Robert were active in the American Legion Post 318 in Parkville; she loved country music especially Alan Jackson. She will mostly be remembered for loving and teaching her family and friends to love one another.
She is the loving Mom of Lawrence (Laurie) Smith, Kerry (Nickey) Johnston and the late Debra (Alan ) Smith; cherished grandmother of Phillip (Monica) Smith, Richard Smith, Stephanie Smith, Nicholas (Sarah) Johnston, Ashley Johnston, Robert Smith and Shelby Smith; great-grandmother of Tristen, Celeste, Preston, Owen, Landon Jayden and Tanzey. Beloved sister of Susan (Tony) McLaughlin and Phil (the late Dee) Crotty and dear friend of Helen Schulte.
Visitation from 12-1 PM and Funeral at 1 PM on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Interment will follow in Terrace Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1100 Pennsylvania Ave, Kansas City, MO 64105.
