James Loring Taylor, 77, of Kansas City, MO passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011. Jim was born in Bergman, Arkansas to Ralph and Selma (Rushing) Taylor. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He retired from the Santa Fe Railroad where he was an engineer for 44 years. Jim was preceded in death by a daughter, Joy Renee Taylor. He is survived by his wife Pat Taylor of the home, 3 daughters, Jama Rooney and husband Dennis of Olathe, KS, Janice Mamie and husband Steve of Lathrop, MO, Pam McKechnie and husband Ed of Liberty, MO, 1 son Jon David Taylor and wife Rachael of Liberty, MO, also, 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.Visitation is 4-6 p.m. Sunday, March 20 at Mount Moriah Terrace Park and funeral service is 10 a.m. Monday, March 21 at the funeral home. Interment and military honors at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery following the service. Memorials may be made to Cancer Research.
