James Richard "Dick" Roberts, age 84, of Parkville, MO, passed away December 2, 2014 at a Fort Smith, AR hospital. Dick was born on September 18, 1930 in Missouri Valley, IA to the late Dr. Harry L. and Idabel B. (Briggs) Roberts. Dick served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He spent many years with GS Industries, Inc. as a Hydraulic Engineer and later with J & A Industries, Inc.
Dick is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Eleanor L. (Miller) Roberts, one sister Jean Ann Roberts and Brother H. Newell Roberts.
Survivors include: one daughter, Kay Srach, of Pleasant Valley, MO and a son, Mike Roberts of Kansas City, MO, one step-daughter, Suzie M. Lohnes, and her husband, Randy, of Kansas City, MO, one step-son, Scott P. Erhart and his wife, Vicki, of Van Buren, AR.; grandchildren, Kylie L. and Brady J. Lohnes, Scotti L. and Ethan P. Erhart, one niece, Renee Yvonne Roberts of Bellingham, WA; and one nephew, Dr. Randall Newell and wife Linda Roberts, of Omaha, NE and one great-nephew Christopher Newell Roberts, of San Francisco, CA. Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association are welcome in lieu of flowers. Services are pending at Terrace Park Funeral Home and Cemetery in Kansas City, MO.
