James R. Lehmann, 79, of Kansas City, MO died at North Kansas City Hospital on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. He was born May 18, 1939 in Minneapolis, MN, to the late Robert and Vivian (Sthol) Lehmann.
Jim Loved Jesus, his family, coffee, peanut butter and Carol’s meatloaf. He was a lifelong learner and professional student, earning a Masters of Divinity degree. He would travel to share the gospel for many years on the “Smiling Bus Chapel” which he sold to another ministry and is still on the road today. Jim served in the U.S. Army and worked for KCATA as a bus driver for more than 20 years, he will be remembered for never having a short story and for having the best paper trail for everything he purchased or made payments on during his lifetime.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carol, daughters Pamela (Charles) Osmond, and Cindy McKenzie; grandchildren Erika, Travis, Anthony, Lynessa, and Madison; 10 great-grandchildren and brothers Kenneth and Paul Lehmann.
In addition to his parents Jim is preceded in death by his daughter Melissa Doyle and sister Marilyn Roberts.
Private Services are being held. He will be laid to rest in Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
